Lixouri is the 2^nd largest town on the island and as such, it benefits from a mix of truly cosmopolitan visitors throughout the summer months, due to its array of available facilities such as upmarket restaurants, tavernas, café bars and shopping opportunities. Lixouri offers a true taste of Kefalonian hospitality, which is something the whole island is famous for and prides itself on.

The popular Xi Beach is close by and is just a few minutes drive away by car, and the peninsula is also famous for the stunning bays of Vatsa & Petani, with their breathtaking views and calm crystal clear waters.

A short ferry ride away is the capital of the island, Argostoli, where you can while away many hours shopping in its classy boutiques or simply relax and take in a coffee or cocktail whilst watching the fishermen selling their catch of the day or check out the world famous Caretta Caretta Turtles which habituate the waters surrounding the harbour front. The ferries run every 15 – 30 minutes between Lixouri/Argostoli during the summer months.
